This class is a different angle into what I am teaching in the live classes of the miniature costume classes. Small and tall, all follows the same principles.
You frequently ask me in class, how I see and know what is going on with the fit of your costumes by just looking at the pictures.......
This is how!
Knowing these skills will greatly improve your understanding of the garment in regards to the fit and the pattern mechanics. You will not only gain the ability to problem solve the performance of your costume but also create more sophisticated designs effortlessly and confidently.
This is the very knowledge I have been collecting for myself and that I have been successfully using in my professional career in life action film productions and in the stop motion industry.
If you have been a student of mine in the past, you have heard me say this before. The best way to learn is by studying existing garments. To imitate and then appropriating it into the small scale.
